The Phoenix Effect strongly believes in giving back to the community through fundraising and community-building exercises. Twice a year, our team trains for and participates in endurance and obstacle course races such as the Reebok Spartan Sprint and the Down and Dirty. We hold weekly team training sessions leading up to each race and provide fundraising guidance.
All proceeds go toward charities that are near and dear to our heart: Brave Trails, a leadership summer camp for LGBTQ youth, and Team In Training, the flagship fundraising program for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Team practices take place in our Melrose studio and develop skills such as wall-climbing, doing monkey bars, flipping tires, carrying weird objects (pushing a Jeep, anyone?) and more! To date, our teams have raised over $70,000 for cancer research.
